HOW TO PLAY

Use arrows, WASD or direction buttons to move both ghosts. Z undoes and H gives a hint. In rooms with a phase switch, use its button or Space outside controls.

GOOD TO KNOW

Original Halloween puzzle. Play solo or think through it together.

One direction, two little journeys 🌙

Luna and Rose can see the way home, but their rooms reflect each other. In Moonlit Mirrors, every direction is a shared decision. Move the blue ghost with the star and the pink ghost with the bow through twelve pairs of small Halloween boards, collecting their hearts and reaching their own doors together.

This is a single-player logic game with a gentle reunion at its center. It also makes a lovely puzzle to discuss with a friend: one person can watch Luna's side while the other follows Rose. You do not need two controllers, and there is no online multiplayer or countdown.

The launch cover is an original illustration. This next image shows the actual puzzle interface.

How the mirror movement works

Choose Play game, then use the arrow keys, WASD, the direction buttons or an adjacent board square. A direction applies to both ghosts. Up and down agree on both sides. In the starting mirror mode, left and right are reversed for Rose.

A wall blocks only the ghost who reaches it. Their partner can still move if their own path is clear. That makes walls useful: hold one ghost still for a move while the other catches up. The puzzle often becomes easier when you stop trying to keep both characters perfectly symmetrical.

Collect each character's own heart and finish with both ghosts at their matching doors. If the room includes a key, collect it as well. The two boards are five by five, so a quick look at both sides is usually more helpful than a long chain of guesses.

Keys and timing

Shared keys appear from room four. A collected key opens both relevant gates after the collecting move finishes. It does not let the other ghost slip through a newly unlocked gate during that same move. Plan one extra beat for the door to open.

Change the phase

From room seven, some puzzles offer a phase switch. It changes horizontal movement between mirrored and aligned directions; vertical movement stays the same. Use the visible switch or Space when focus is outside other controls. Switching costs one move, so include it in your plan.

Think, undo, try again

Z or Undo takes back a step, and Restart resets the selected room. H or Hint suggests the next action on a shortest route from the current combined position, taking keys and phase into account. There is no timer, limited life counter or penalty for asking for a hint.

A room earns three stars at its verified minimum move count, two stars up to the rounded-up 1.5-times target, and one star for any longer completion. These are replay goals: every completed reunion counts. A hint does not reduce the star award.

Try solving the room comfortably first. On a second visit, look for a wall that can hold one ghost in place or a phase switch that saves several adjustments.

A little hug at the finish 👻

When both ghosts arrive, the result scene lets Luna and Rose float toward each other, lean in for a hug and share a tiny kiss with a heart bubble. Their blue star and pink bow stay part of the reunion. The animation is decorative; Next room and close controls are available immediately.

Reduced-motion mode shows a still embrace instead of the approach animation. The celebration does not change the puzzle rules, move count or stars.

Records, links and a short tour

Completed-room bests, language and sound preferences stay in this browser. A room link starts that room from the beginning, and reloading does not restore unfinished individual moves. The game offers English and Simplified Chinese; it has no account or cross-device record sync.

Watch the 24-second introduction. This silent tour uses actual screenshots and captions, not continuous gameplay footage. Its captured scenes may predate the latest reunion artwork.

Questions from the other side of the mirror

Why did only one ghost move?

A wall, gate or board boundary can stop one character without stopping the other. Use this difference to arrange their positions.

Is this a two-player game?

One set of controls moves both ghosts. You can discuss it together, but it is not simultaneous independent control or remote multiplayer.

Do I have to match the target to finish?

No. Any valid completion finishes the room. The move target helps with optional star challenges.
